Okamet 500 tablets contain 500mg of Metformin. It is a medicine called a biguanides. It is an anti-diabetic medicine.

How does Okamet function?

The active ingredient in Okamet  is Metformin. Metformin lowers the amount of sugar made by your liver. It thus lowers your blood sugar.

Side Effects

Metal taste in mouth

Indigestion or vomiting

A rare occurrence called Lactic Acidosis can occur.  This is the production of too much lactic acid is produced in your body. This can cause sleepiness, muscle soreness and/or dizziness.
