What is the active ingredient?
The active ingredient in Urimax capsules is Tamsulosin HCl. Each Urimax capsule contains 200mcg or 400 mcg of Tamsulosin Hydrochloride They are delivered in modified-release tablets.
What is Tamsulosin?
Tamsulosin HCl (Urimax capsules by Cipla) is an alpha-blocker medication used for treating the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a condition referred to as an enlarged prostate.

How to Use Urimax (Generic Flomax)
Take Tamsulosin HCl capsules exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush, chew, or open the capsules.
Take this medicine one time each day, about 30 minutes after the same meal each day. For example, you may take this medicine 30 minutes after dinner each day.
If you miss a dose of Urimax capsules, take it as soon as you remember. If you miss your dose for the whole day, continue with your next dose on your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time.
If you stop or forget to take Tamsulosin HCl capsules for several days, talk with your doctor before starting again. If you take more this medicine than prescribed, call your doctor right away.

The most common Generic Flomax side effects are headache, dizziness, rhinitis, infection, abnormal ejaculation, asthenia, back pain, diarrhea, pharyngitis, chest pain, cough increased, somnolence, nausea, sinusitis, insomnia, libido decreased, tooth disorder, and blurred vision.
How to store Urimax:
Urimax should be stored at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Short-term exposure to higher or lower temperatures is allowed[from 59°F (15°C) to 86°F (30°C)]. Please keep out of reach of children.
Precautions when taking Urimax
Do not take Urimax if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Always consult your Doctor or Healthcare provider before taking Urimax or any other medicine. Make them aware if you have:
- any kidney or liver problems
- any history of low blood pressure
- any allergies to sulfa or any other medicines
- if you are planning to have cataract surgery
