When should Doxycycline not be used?
You should not use Doxycycline if you are:
-Allergic to Doxycycline or other tetracycline antibiotics
-Pregnant or are breastfeeding
-Under 12 years of age
-Using other medication that interacts with Doxycycline, including penicillin antibiotics, barbiturates, have epilepsy,
-Been prescribed anticoagulants
-Taking supplements or vitamins that contain iron preparations, which may reduce the absorption of Doxycycline
How do you take Doxycycline?
You should take Doxycycline once daily with a glass of water with food, preferably just before a meal, to reduce stomach effects.
How long should you take Doxycycline?
Always follow the prescribed Doxycycline amount and dosage received from your Doctor.
Missed dose of Doxycycline
If you miss a dose of Doxycycline take it as soon as you remember, unless it is time to take the next dose, then skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose.
How should Doxycycline be stored?
You should store your Doxycycline below 77°F in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
